My energies the past two weeks have gone almost wholly into the press: printing and assembling copies, typesetting proofs, designing covers, and figuring out the new, rigorous production schedule that will take me through next summer and bring Seven Kitchens current. That's the goal: to publish everything in our backlog, plus all the chapbooks accepted this year, by summer's end. It's going to be crazy, but I may be getting some help soon: I have a meeting next week to talk about the possibility of getting student interns. More on that when I have something tangible to report.
Working today on copies for Ed, who has a reading next weekend. Trying to make the most of my day off.
Still overwhelmed by a generous gift that Robin Becker made in support of the press. It couldn't have come at a better time and lifted my spirits considerably, especially coupled with Scott's request last week to set up a subscription.
