Take me here.

So while internet-skipping, trying to recollect the name of the restaurant that served such yummy Ethiopian food in Baltimore way back at AWP (what year was that?), I ended up at the website for Typecast Press.

Wiping away the drool.

Were you thinking of Dukem? It's on Maryland Ave, near the Symphony, not far from my boyfriend's.

RJ, I wish I could remember. I really miss some of the benefits of urban living lately: ethnic dishes top the list.

Ron--I've not been there yet, but Brian has and says the food is quite good. If you're ever down in Baltimore, give it a try. Also there's the Helmund, an Afghani Restaurant down on Charles St, a few blocks from the Belvedere Hotel. Excellent food.

Five Seasons, the other downtown Ethiopian joint, used to be easy walking distance from where the 2003 (yeesh!) AWP convention took place--a smallish restaurant space on Charles Street, just across the street from the ghastly Verizon monolith. Maybe that's the one you remember. It moved a while back to a shopping center on Guilford Ave.
I second the Helmand--was there last night...
Cheers,
Doug

There used to be one called Blue Nile that was really good... mid 1990s, also on Charles Street... but maybe it's gone now.
